Before the world's attention was directed almost exclusively to covid two years ago, Health was already a major concern everywhere. Rising statistics of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer were the biggest attention getters most of the time. Interspersed in this discourse were occasional major disease outbreaks such as AIDS or SARS or the latest bird flu from Asia. Here in the US, for the last 15 years or so, one of the biggest concerns has been health care costs. "Fixing" the health care system has been part of the national debate in Presidential elections ever since 2008. What those debates have really been about, however, hasn't been about health! They have really been about "who is going to pay for health care costs?"
Noticeably missing from those conversations has been the questions "why does health care cost so much?" and "if we're spending so much money on "health" care (about 22% of our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at last count), why are we in the US getting so sick, having so much chronic disease, having our average lifespan decreasing, and falling further and further behind the rest of the world on measures such as lifespan, child mortality, and maternal deaths during childbirth?"
When we analyze all this data, it becomes clear that "health" by the classical definition of people not getting sick, is NOT what our modern "health care" system is producing. Health is not produced by prescribing pharmaceutical drugs for life for conditions caused by bad nutrition, GMO foods that cause disease, no exercise, excess stress, polluted water and polluted air. It is now clear that companies such as pharmaceutical drug manufacturers, hospital groups and insurance companies, who have a vested interest in sick people seeking treatment, have no incentive to see you get well. Quite the opposite, in fact. When a company and those who run it rely on you being sick for their livelihood, don't expect them to teach you how to get well and stay well.
So, What Does Produce Real Health?
In my clinical practice, I routinely saw patients with multiple chronic disease. 3-4 major diagnoses was common. What I found that worked to get them well, was focusing on the basics. Nutrition, Detoxification, Meditation or other Mind-Body skilled relaxation techniques, subtle energies (Qi, Prana and other names for this). In the philosophy of natural, wholistic medicine, we recognize that the body has an innate ability to heal. In practice this means that if we give the body what it needs, take away what it doesn't, and stimulate the body's own healing abilities in the right way, then most chronic diseases can be healed.
Over the years, I observed many of these patients getting completely better, by following a few core principles. I gradually honed my discussions and presentation about the Core aspects of health into a set of lectures that I would give to patients one at a time. Eventually, I held weekend seminars where I would give these lectures to perhaps a few dozen people at a time.
This outline of this body of information is included in my books, Heal Your Life, Heal the World. Many of the details, however, are in the set of classes I call my Core Health Lectures. This is the information that I had thousands of patients use to improve their health. Many of these patients had chronic diseases, that the main stream medical system told them they would have for life, and they would need to be on prescription medication for life, with all its inherent side effects. Following the Core Health material, the vast majority would have their chronic health conditions disappear, often without ever formally treating those chronic diseases!
If you're wondering what exactly is in those Core Health Lectures, wait no more.
• Nutrition 1: Macronutrients and food quality
• Nutrition 2: Micronutrients and Essential Nutrients
• Detoxification – cleaning out our cells and organs
• Subtle Energy: Qi, Prana, Vital Force and the rest of our anatomy
• Mental, emotional and spiritual health
• Exercise, sleep and rejuvenating your body
The full Core Health Lectures are being released to the public for the first time this year. You now have an opportunity take advantage of this wisdom and knowledge, and upgrade the quality of your life. I cannot be held responsible if you follow this advice and your chronic disease disappear, and you regain the health and vitality you had when you were younger. Increased healthy lifespan may be a side effect of implementing this information.
